| ImpulsEscape (V.125) ImpulsEscape (pronounced as both words) is an explosive, propulsive concert opener. Based on a complex rhythmic figure, the overture gets its form by presenting, dissecting, then re-assembling this rhythm. During the process, numerous musical moods emerge, including a cantabile central section, a percussion soli, a chorale, and a scherzo. The work is four and a half minutes long.
