Finale of Symphony #1 (Sibelius)

When I first heard the end of Sibelius' First Symphony, I could not believe he was not an organist - the sonorities and textures he conjured up were so idiomatic for the instrument. Eventually, I tested my theory by transcribing the end of the movement for organ solo. There are challenging moments, but the music works wonderfully well on the instrument. Intended for a large 3 manual organ, it can be performed on smaller instrument. Some suggestions as to registration are included.

Scored for solo organ. 5-6 minutes, 76 measures.
